60 - Creed II

Welcome to Episode 60 of We Watched A Thing.   This week we're throwing on the gloves, heading to Russia and fighting the son of the dude who killed our dads, all while discussing the latest legasequel to the 'Rocky' franchise - 'Creed II'.   Creed II is a 2018 American sports drama film directed by Steven Caple Jr., and written by Juel Taylor and Sylvester Stallone, from a story by Sascha Penn and Cheo Hodari Coker. A sequel to Creed (2015) and the eighth installment in the Rocky film series, it stars Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson, Dolph Lundgren, Florian Munteanu, Wood Harris, and Phylicia Rashad. Creed writer-director Ryan Cooglerserves as an executive producer on the film. Welcome to Episode 59 of We Watched A Thing.   Join us as we find our late husband's notebook, pull off a heist, and steal some cash, all while discussing Steve McQueen's new drama-thriller 'Widows'.   Widows is a 2018 heist film directed by Steve McQueen from a screenplay by McQueen and Gillian Flynn, based upon the 1983 ITV series of the same name.[2] A British-American co-production, the film features an ensemble cast consisting of Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Debicki, Cynthia Erivo, Colin Farrell, Brian Tyree Henry, Daniel Kaluuya, Jacki Weaver, Carrie Coon, Robert Duvall, and Liam Neeson. Welcome to Episode 57 of We Watched A Thing.   This week we're heading to Berlin to join a dance school, getting caught up in a witch coven, and Tilda Swinton will be doing both of our voices, all while she chats about the 2018 horror remake 'Suspiria'. Suspiria (Latin: [sʊsˈpɪria], lit. "sighs") is a 2018 supernatural horror film directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by David Kajganich, based on the 1977 film directed by Dario Argento. It stars Dakota Johnson as an American woman who enrolls at a prestigious dance academy in 1977 Berlin that is run by a coven of witches. Tilda Swinton co-stars in three roles, including as the company's lead choreographer as well as a male psychotherapist who becomes embroiled with the academy. Mia Goth and Chloë Grace Moretz appear in supporting roles as students of the academy, while Angela Winkler, Renée Soutendijk, Ingrid Caven, and Sylvie Testud (among others) portray the academy's matrons. Jessica Harper, the star of the original film, has a cameo role. 56 - Strangers on a Train

Welcome to Episode 56 of We Watched A Thing.   Join us as we catch the train, meet a weirdo, and accidentally agree to a murder swap, all while chatting about the 1951 Hitchcock classic 'Strangers on a Train'. Strangers on a Train is a 1951 American psychological thriller film noir produced and directed by Alfred Hitchcock, and based on the 1950 novel Strangers on a Train by Patricia Highsmith. It was shot in the autumn of 1950 and released by Warner Bros. on June 30, 1951. The film stars Farley Granger, Ruth Roman, and Robert Walker, and features Leo G. Carroll, the director's daughter Pat Hitchcock, and Laura Elliott. It is number 32 on AFI's 100 Years... 100 Thrills. The story concerns two strangers who meet on a train, a young tennis player and a charming psychopath. The psychopath suggests that because they each want to "get rid" of someone, they should "exchange" murders, and that way neither will be caught. The psychopath commits the first murder, then tries to force the tennis player to complete the bargain. 55 - Halloween (2018)

Welcome to Episode 55 of We Watched A Thing.   Get spooky with us as we break out of a mental asylum, dress up as Bill Shatner, and get our kill on, all while discussing the brand new sequel/reboot in the classic slasher franchise 'Halloween'.   Halloween is a 2018 American slasher film directed by David Gordon Green and written by Green, Jeff Fradley, and Danny McBride. It is the eleventh installment in the Halloween film series, and a direct sequel to the 1978 film of the same name, while effecting a retcon of all previous sequels.[4] Set 40 years after the original film, the plot follows Laurie Strode as she prepares to face Michael Myers when he returns to Haddonfield, Illinois, after his killing spree on Halloween night in 1978. Jamie Lee Curtis and Nick Castle reprise their roles as Strode and Myers, respectively, with stuntman James Jude Courtney also portraying Myers. A remake of the 1937 film of the same name, it stars Cooper, Lady Gaga, Andrew Dice Clay, Dave Chappelle, and Sam Elliott, and follows a hard-drinking musician (Cooper) who discovers and falls in love with a young singer (Gaga).
